Celebrate! West Hartford FUNd RUNS

The Celebrate! West Hartford FUNd RUNS feature a Kids' K around Blue Back Square and a USATF-certified 5K within West Hartford, Connecticut's two-day outdoor town festival. The short dash is non-competitive and open to children up to age 10, while the 5K offers older kids, adults, club runners, and families a measured road race finishing downtown. The 5K begins on South Main Street, proceeds north through West Hartford Center, utilizes a paved section of the Trout Brook Trail, and concludes on Memorial Road in Blue Back Square. Youth groups like Zoomerangs, Girls In Stride, MPower, CHS Soccer, and Grace Webb Running Club participate alongside general runners, with participants ranging from young children to older adults. All Kids' K finishers receive medals, 5K awards are given to the top three in male and female age groups, and the post-race awards and refueling reception take place at Town Hall. A portion of the proceeds benefits The Town That Cares and the Leisure Services Scholarship Fund, which assists children in attending swimming lessons, camps, and other programs.
